We are conviently located near Belleayre Mountain, only five minutes away. Belleayre Mountain Since 1949, this ski resort has been providing winter sports a home. Now with 55 trails and 8 lifts, this popular resort provides skiers and snowboarders a quailty resort experience. Shandaken Historical Museum This local museum showcases the history of our very own Weyside Inn! Located in Pine Hill and open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, admission is free and is located in a historical 1925 historical School District No. 10 Building. Woodstock Offers theater, museums, America's oldest continuous summer chamber music festival, galleries, and an array of restaurants. State Parks We are located near a number of state parks which are perfect for picnicing, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor activities. Restaurants There are a number or restaurants of all different types within a short distance. Train Rides The Delaware and Ulster Railroad winds through the Catskill Mountains and has been called "The Most Scenic Rail Line in the East." Trips run May-October, are 24 miles long, and last about two hours. The Empire State Railway Museum and Catskill Mountain Railroad is another option. This ride five mile ride leaves from a train station turned museum. It also runs May-October The Town Tinker Tube Rental Ride the rapids of Esopus Creek. Esopus Meadows Lighthouse Provides tours of the last wooden lighthouse on the Hudson River. Arts Visit Arm-of-the-Sea theater for the unique experiences of modern words of mask and puppet theater. Bird-on-a-Cliff Theater Company offers free outdoor performances of Shakespeare in July and August. Catskill Ballet Theatre Company performs The Nutcracker annually, as well as other ballets throughout the year. Coach House Players, which boasts over 60 years of community theater, performs year-round. |
